2D Design Activity

Original Drawing
In the beginning, we passed around a paper with a randomly drawn shape. Then, everyone added one element to the sketch. Afterward, I changed the letters on the sides of the sketch and added color ideas. This helped me determine which parts would be on which layer. This is the scan of the sketch after I made those changes.

New Layers
We utilized a screen printing technique for this project where the design was imprinted onto physical paper. To achieve this, we created separate layers for each color to create screens, which were then used to brush ink through the templates provided by our professor.

Screen Printing
We had to screen print the design onto paper for our project. It was my first time trying this technique, and I enjoyed it. Although the result was not perfect, I loved the experience. We even got to take home our screen print templates.
