2025 Spring Semester
Class: Workshop Typography
Project Name: Convention Poster
For the final project in my Workshop Typography class we were required to create a poster for a Typography based convention. We were required to focus on type treatment and composition to make an engaging poster. The longer it takes for the viewer to read the poster, the more interesting it is. Alongside the poster we were required to make our own name and logo (seen below) for the convention. I wanted my brand to have a motto attached to it, so I created the slogan, "Letter by Letter, Make History."
Class: Workshop 5D
Project Name: Mobile App Design
For this project we were required to make and design a mobile app that is powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI). For my idea I went with a baseball Duolingo-style app that helps newer baseball fans learn about the rules of baseball. AI creates baseball scenarios that help the user learn about the rules and situations that would be commonly seen in baseball. 2025 Fall Semester
Class: Workshop 2D
Project Name: Baseball Zine
In this Workshop 2D project we were required to make an 8-page zine with a poster on the backside related to the 8 pages. For my topic I decided to depict a story of the step-by-step process for a walk-off homerun hit. The main struggle with this piece is that the colors had to be changed due to the project having to be printed using a risograph printer. The image to the left is an adjusted version to fit the color restrictions of the risograph printer. Class: Workshop 4D
Project Name: Solo Documentary
For the first project in my Workshop 4D class we were required to create a 10 minutes or shorter documentary where we had to shoot, produce, edit and animate our own short documentary. For my documentary I decided to document on the mind of an Esports player and what it feels to lose and win at close to the highest level of collegiate esports. Class: Workshop 4D
Project Name: Group Documentary
In this Workshop 4D project we were required to create a 20 minutes or less documentary by collaborating with a group of your peers. For my group, we documented the Maloof Foundation and the Environmental Design students at Cal Poly Pomona. My role in the group was b-roller on the site of the Maloof Foundation, co-director and editor for the interviews about the Environmental Design students' projects. Class: Painting Activity
Project Name: Self-Portrait
For the final project in my painting activity class we were required to create a self-portrait image that expressed who we are rather than just an image. Symbolic meaning was essential to making a creative piece, hence the amount of color in this artwork. I decided to use color-changing animals (chameleon, octopus and cuttlefish) to depict my adaptability. I think of myself as a very flexible and adaptable person, and the swirls in my eyes in the middle depict me being lost with my identity at the time. This piece was done with acrylic paint on an 18x24 canvas.
