Initial Sketches
My group and I decided to create a sculpture for our project using our first initials. Since the project required a stool, it was challenging to come up with a concept that would keep everything cohesive and stable. I created a first draft sketch that would integrate all four letters in a way that would stay together. The professor suggested that we include the number 13 as it is a reference to building 13 at CPP, which is the art building. Therefore, we named the sculpture "The Initial 13".

First Draft
While constructing the cardboard pieces, we realized that the letter S in our initial sketch was too big to fit in the given space. It was also impossible to keep it balanced and hold it up. Therefore, we had to come up with an alternative idea for our first draft. I then created another sketch, which eventually became our final design.

Adding Details
Finally, we decided to take our individual cardboard pieces home and design them in our unique style. When we presented our final sculpture, the most challenging part was preventing it from flying away, so we had to use glue and tape to secure some of the pieces in place.
